Assessment Calibration

The Assessment Calibration feature is available to certain license holders on request.  This feature provides a way to deselect individual skills from appearing in the assessment, thereby reducing the size of the assessment.  Ratings for the deselected skills will be autocompleted in most cases.

Rules

If a skill is deselected for a person, Skills Base will hide the skill in assessments of that person.

If a rating was specified for the skill in the previous assessment (of the same type), that rating will be automatically populated and saved in the background.

If a rating was not specified for the skill in the previous assessment, Skills Base will autocomplete the rating with a zero, if the zero rating is enabled for all enabled rating types (skill level, interest level).  If the zero rating is not enabled for any of the enabled rating types, Skills Base will not hide the skill in the assessment, and deselecting the skill via Assessment Calibration will have no effect, until a subsequent assessment is completed (ie: when the previous assessment of the same type contains a rating for the skill).

Enabling the Assessment Calibration feature

To use the feature, select a person from the People directory. In the upper right corner of the person's dashboard, click on the Action button. You will see a selection entry named Assessment calibration. Select that and you will be prompted to select the kills you want the person to be assessed on. The previous skills and their assessment ratings will remain in place but only the skills you select will be presented in a new assessment:

Select the skills that are to be included in the next self-assessment by the person.
