Skills Base makes it easy to collect and manage a lot of skills and for people and teams to find and improve on the skills they need. But before you can do this for your team, business or organization you first need to set Skills Base up with the basics.
But don’t worry, setting up Skills Base is an easy task and the basics can be set up in a few hours.

Even the most sophisticated customers start somewhere. We have customers who have used Skills Base for many years and have thousands of users, skills and other data setup, integration with other corporate systems, etc. Yet, they have all started with a basic setup.
We strongly recommend that your first goal as you complete the onboarding is to enter enough basic information to complete an assessment yourself, or for a small team, and that you do this and complete the assessment(s) before going any further.
The process is designed to be iterative, and so irrespective of whether you are doing this as a self-directed exercise OR whether you have Concierge services included with your license tier, your initial goal should be the same; start small and go from there. You can then revisit the onboarding process with more awareness of how Skills Base works and get more value, more quickly from the system.
This will save you time in the long-run and ensure that you get the maximum value from Skills Base you can in the shortest timeframe.
