In Skills Base, Skill Categories and Skills are assigned to an entity for assessment. The entity can be a person, role or team and are the collection of named Skill Categories and Skills associated to that entity. There are instances where a person has additional Skills that are not assigned to them in their role or team but are valuable to capture and document. The Personal Skills feature allows a person to add Skills from the Skills Directory to provide a more comprehensive view of their abilities. It allows them to provide a skill rating for the added skill that they indicate is reflective of their proficiency in that skill.
